FIVE GREAT HEALERS SPEAK HERE
towards God and recognition of His presence as a living reality.
Then I call for people who would wish to be prayed for, and encourage the congregation to be quiet for a moment or two, believing in God's perfection shining in that person's life. At that point I will help to recognize that perfection in the sick person. So often the sickness disappears, or a new quickening of the spirit takes place.
On most of these occasions people are doing the praying and there is no laying-on-of-hands in that particular approach. At other times, as in a church with an altar, it is customary to have people come up to the altar. As they kneel, I pass down the line laying my hands of each head, knowing and believing in the silence that God's perfection is shining through to bless and heal. Is It Necessary To Make A Diagnosis? If so, How Is It Done?
There are two aspects to a question like this. First, in all situations like counselling, one is in effect diagnosing in the sense that one is becoming aware of the needs of the person. The patient will describe his or her pains. We will be told about the tribulations and problems that have been part of the patient's experience.
It is certainly true that such discussion brings in an inspiration factor and very often a very clear awareness of the real cause to be healed. In this sense diagnosis is one of inspiration and communication. Then one is guided to release the situation to the Father and make way for prayer and the release of God's love, God's perfection, into manifestation.
Secondly, I know that many healers have a psychic ability to diagnose. They become aware of someone's pain, the cause of it, or whatever diagnosis is necessary to reveal the trouble. This is obviously some psychic faculty,
