कषायरूपी अग्नि क्रोध, मान, माया और लोभ-ये चार कषायरूपी अग्नियाँ हैं। श्रुत, शील और तप जल हैं। श्रुतादि रूप जलधारा से सिंचित होने पर ये अग्नियाँ मुझे नहीं जलातीं।

कषाय का विनाश जिसके मोह नहीं है, उसने दुःख का नाश कर दिया। जिसके तृष्णा नहीं है, उसने मोह का नाश कर दिया। जिसके लोभ नहीं है, उसने तृष्णा का नाश कर दिया और जो अकिञ्चन है, उसने लोभ का नाश कर दिया।
Destruction of Passions He who has got rid of delusion has his misery destroyed, he who has got rid of desire has his delusion destroyed, he who has got rid of greed has his desire destroyed and he who owns nothing has his greed destroyed.
