Wailing Flower 'Wherefore do you weep, ye beauteous flower, at this crucial hour of your parting?' I asked the fading blossom, as it sobbed.

Facing this juncture consequently, when I was to depart at last from this earth, without having ever been employed in the service of a noble cause, I was touched with emotion, and tears gushed out of my tender eyes.
Incongruence When I viewed this spectacle, I was truly dumbfounded: Elevated was man's stature, but so insular was his mind! Prolix was his tongue, but how puny his performance! High, indeed, was his prestige, but how dwarfish was his being!
