27. This gāthā is already dealt with; vide KP S. No. (28.425) supra. Śobhakara cites it as an example of Apahnuti wherein the niṣedha (denial) is artha ( implied). He comments on it thus: अत्र घटभङ्गस्य द्वारस्पर्शाख्यं कारणान्तर प्रतिषिध्य युवतिविषयदाक्षिण्यरूपं हेत्वन्तरमारोपितम् । अत्रैककार्यत्वं संबन्धान्तरम् ।
28. Sobhakara cites this gatha as an example of Apahnuti, with the introductory remark : ‘आर्थेऽह्नवे यथा-' and after citing it remarks : अत्र मुख्यस्य निषेधे स्वर्गान्तरविधानम् । एतयोः श्यामलत्वादिवर्तुलत्वादिकं चोत्प्रेक्षानिमित्तमनुपात्तम् ।
29. Sobhakara cites this as an example of Utpreksa. Here the pair of breasts is fancied to be identical with a pair of phala and phalaka (shield). The two entities are not however in the same case ( vibhakti).
30. Sobhakara's printed text reads. But it violates the metre. In prakrit we have the word बलआ which also means बलाहक. This gāthā illustrates (सापह्नवा) उत्प्रेक्षा.
