Rāma and others pay homage to their mothers
Rāma, Laksmana and Sitā prostrated at the feet of Kausalya, Sumitra, Suprabha and Kaikeyi. Visalyā and the other girls touched the feet of their mothers-in-law. The mothers-in-law blessed them and wept for a while. No one could speak a word. Then, Kausalya praised Lakṣmaṇa, for forsaking the pleasures and serving Rama and Sitä. Lakṣmaṇa praised Rāma and Sitā, who loved him like their own child. Laksmana rebuked himself for killing Sambuka accidently.
