It is the soul that contracts and enlarges karmas by good or bad deeds, therefore, it is in the power of soul only to become happy by the accumulation of Punya karma (good deeds), none other can make it happy, for it is the karma that gives one happiness or misery as evidently one must experience either at a time. How transient is happiness ? Is not life a chain of dependence ? Only eternal bliss is independent, infinite and constant.
