SPIRITUAL PILGRIMMAGE OF CHHA GAU Why is it mental Pilgrimmage of Six Gau ?
Chetan ! We do this pilgrimmage on Falgun Sud 13th. By doing this pilgrimmage all the Karmas are destroyed. "Stefyierpoti facutafa, nefy TITAT 7 भवे भ्रमन्ति" means the dust of the path to the Shatrunjaya rinses the dust of karmas covering our soul and the movement on it puts an end to the cycle of re-birth. This thing is true. But why is this pilgrimmage done on Falgun Sud 13th ? In answer to this question, some will say that this is the pilgrimmage of "Dahin and Dhebra” (Curd and fried bread.) But brother ! In Jin Shashan there is no pilgrimmage merely for eating and drinking. It is the Sadharmik Bhakti to support the body after doing this tiring pilgrimmage.
Some will say it is the pilgrimmage of six gau on foot. Brother ! This is true in the referance to the coverage of the path. Six Gau means 15 kilometers. But what is the importance of todays pilgrimmage?
