commentator also describes the number of the two classes of Lokāntika gods as seventy-seven thousand each. C. Lava" is a time unit. The time taken by the inhaling and exhaling of a being healthy and free from disease is termed as prāņa. Seven prāņas make a stoka, seven stokas make lava and seventy-seven lavas make a muhūrta. Thus, 7 x 7 x 7 x 77 = 3773 prāņas make a muhūrta.
