Illuminator of Jaina Tenets - Lestre yn nivsttiḥ--samasamayavartijīvānām pariņāmavisuddher visadçśatā?. bādaraḥ-sthūlah. idam apūrvakaraṇam api ucyate.
(Aph.) A soul possessed of dissimilar (nivrtti) coarse passions is one possessed of coarse passions with dissimilarity (in respect of their purification.) (X)
(Gloss) The word nivrtti' means dissimilarity in the purity of transformations of different souls existing at the equivalent point of time. The word bādara (coarse) means gross. This state is also called apūryakarana (that is, a stage the like of which was never attained before).

अनिवृत्तिः-समसमयवर्तिजीवानां परिणामविशुद्धः सदृशता' । .. अनयोरुभयोरपि जीवस्थानयोर्बादरकषायत्वं दशमजीवस्थानापेक्षया
ज्ञातव्यम् । 11. anivrttiyukto bādarakaşāyaḥ anivettibåbaraḥ.
anivsttiḥ-samasamayavartijivānāṁ pariņāmavisuddheḥ sadşšatā.
anayor ubhayor api jivasthānayor bādarakaşāyatvam daśamajiva. .sthānāpekṣayā jñātavyam.
(Aph.) The state of soul possessed of similar (anivștti) coarse passions is one possessed of coarse passions with similarity in respect of their purifications. (XI)
(Gloss) The word anivýtti means similarity in the purity of transforI nir bhedena vsttih nivsttih 2 nivstti-bădara-jivasthāne bhinna-samayavarti-jivānāṁ pariņāma-visuddhir visadrsi bhavati, sama-samaya-varti-jīvānāñ ca visadrši sadrţi că'pi. (Şafkhandagama, vol. I,
p. 184) 3 The prefix ni in nivstti) means 'dissimilarity' and vrtti means 'existence'. The whole
word nivstti, therefore, means 'existence in dissimilarity'.. 4 In the state of nivetti bådara the purifications of the transformations of the souls
