Tadevam praśamasamveganirvedānukampāstikyābhivyaktilaksanam tattvārthasraddhānam samyagdarśanam ||
- Sabhāşya Tattvārthādhigamasutra, 1.2. That is - Like this, the right vision manifests in the qualities of subsidence, desire for spiritual emancipation, detachment, compassion, and belief in the soul and in the existence of the fundamental verities.
Praśamasamveganirvedānukampāstikyābhivyaktilakṣaṇaḥ samyaktvam || - Dhavalā 1/1.1.4.
That is – the right vision manifests itself in the qualities of subsidence, desire for spiritual emancipation, detachment, compassion, and belief in the soul.

Maitrīpramodakārunyamādhyasthyāni satvaguņādhikakliśyamānāvinayeșu - Tattvārthasūtra, 9.6.
That is - One must show the feelings of friendship, joyous veneration, mercy and non-reacting neutrality towards all the living beings, the virtuous, the miserable and the insufferable respectively.
The detailed analyses about kindness and compassion are available in the literature of both the traditions - Digambara as well as Śvetāmbara.
