SUTRAS
THE KEY TO THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE
79
- Immediate sense-experience (sparshana) - Total Perception perceives how our senses experience the elements and their manifestations. - Time and duration of manifestation (kala) - Total Perception per
ceives the time of manifestation of objects and events and also the duration of their manifestation. - Inner purpose and meaning (antara) - Total Perception perceives what influence objects and events have on our life and also what
insights they intend to trigger within us. - Presently active features (bliava) - Total Perception perceives how events and objects behave in the present and what reactions they
trigger in our consciousness. - Extent, quantities and proportions (alpa-bahutva) - Total Perception perceives up to what extent the elements manifest their features. It also perceives how their particular manifestations relate to each other.
What we perceive by Total Perception is called knowledge.
Total Perception operates through five different channels. These channels give us access to different regions of our consciousness. They also determine how clearly and to what depth we perceive knowledge.
The next sutras describe the nature and range of these channels.
