SUTRAS
THE KEY TO THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE
23
The knowledge awakens us to that part of the path we already experienced - that is its main feature.
If we already have access to superior levels of experience without knowing it, this knowledge (saniyag darshana) makes us aware of this opening. For this to happen we need to acquaint us with the characteristics of the more advanced states of consciousness and then link these characteristics to our special insights.
It always pays to take interest in this special knowledge because it enlivens areas of our consciousness we are unfamiliar with, but that nevertheless exist.
Yet it is impossible to expand our consciousness by study alone or by mere intellectual understanding.
Simultaneously with every insight into the higher functions of our consciousness we also receive the ability to fully comprehend our experience. This happens automatically., no matter if we are aware of it at the moment of insight or not. Experience and understanding are just two different aspects of the same event.
Misinterpretation, prejudice, ignorance, doubt and social consensus usually prevent us from understanding and utilizing these expansive experiences. Yet when we allow our intuitive orientation towards growth (samıyag darshana) to guide this process, these obstructive factors are automatically filtered out. This kind of flawless intuitive insight makes us intuitively sense how every information we receive will influence our progress. It gives us the choice to accept and amplify only those impulses
that positively lead us to more advanced stages of development. 3 - Manifesting our insights in action (samyag charitra) means to
really do what will free our consciousness and action from all restrictions. The transfer of our insights into action is essential if we truly want to experience superior dimensions of our consciousness.
