that too only if her limbs are shackled, her head has been shaved, she has not eaten for three days,
at mid-day she is sitting on the threshold with one leg inside and the other out, she has a basket with dry pulse balls in her hand, she has a smile on her
face and tears in her eyes.

ENNUS After this resolution he spent five months and fifteen days going around the town for alms every
day. The conditions of his resolution were not fulfilled and so he did not eat anything.
Around that time king Shatanik, the ruler of Kaushambi suddenly attacked Champa city. His army plundered Champa. A charioter kidnapped queen Dharini and princess Vasumati. To save her honour the queen committed suicide.
