74. श्री कुन्तुनाथ स्वामी
गजपूर का शासन करनेवाला राजा सुर था और रानी श्री थी। उनके पुत्र के रूप में वैशाख शुद्ध चतुर्दशी के दिन श्री कुन्तनाथ का जन्म हुआ था। कुछ दिन सांसारिक जीवन बिताकर चैत्र शुद्ध पंचमी के दिन उन्होंने सन्यास की दीक्षा ले ली। समस्त कर्मों को छोड़कर चैत्र शुद्ध तृतीया के दिन वे केवल ज्ञान का लाभ उठा कर अर्हत हुए और शत्रहवें के तीर्थङ्कर के रूप में प्रकट हुए थे। वैशाख शुद्ध पाडियमी के दिन वे मोक्षगामी हुए थे।

The next of the Tirthankaras is Shri Kunthunatha Swamy. The city of Gajapuram was then ruled by King Sura and Queen Sri. Shri Kunthunathaswamy was born to this royal couple on a certain Vaisakha Shuddha Chaturdasi (corresponding to the fourteenth day in the waxing phase of the second month in the lunar calendar). After having spent a married life for some years, Shri Kunthunathaswamy entered monkhood on a Chaitra Shuddha Panchami (corresponding to the fifth day in the waxing phase of the first month in the lunar .calendar) and attained Kevalajnana on a certain Chaitra Bahula Thadiya (corresponding to the third day in the waning phase of the first month in the lunar calendar) and thus became an Arhantha and 17th of the Tirthankaras. He attained Nirvana on a certain Vaisakha Shuddha Padyami (corresponding to the first day in the waxing phase of thesecond month in the lunar calendar).
