60. श्री संभवनाथ स्वामी
इसके बाद श्रावस्ती का सासन करनेवाले राजा 'जथारी' ('जठा') और रानी 'सेवा' नाम राज-दम्पतियों को एक पुत्र हुआ जिसका नाम था संभवनाथ । जब श्री संभवनाथ अपनी माँ के गर्भ में था तबी से राज्य में सुभिक्ष (सुकाल) और शान्ति की स्थापना के लिये अनुकूल परिस्थितियाँ होने (बनने) लगीं। इस लिये राजा ने अपने बेटे का नाम संभवनाथ रखा था। श्रीसंभवनाथ ने अपने ४९ वर्ष की अवस्था में आषाढ अमावास्या के दिन सन्यास की दीक्षा ग्रहण की और कार्तीक पूर्णिमा के दिन केवल ज्ञान प्राप्त किया और अर्हत होकर श्री संभवनाथ स्वामी तृतीय तीर्थङ्कर हो गयी। उन्हें चैत्र बहुळ पंचमी के दिन मोक्ष की प्राप्ति हुई।
60 SHRI SAMBHAVANATHA SWAMY
The next Tirthankara is Shri Sambhavanathaswamy. He was born to the royal couple of Shravasthi, King Jathari and Queen Seva. The date was Magha Bahula Chaturdasi (corresponding to the fourteenth day of the waning fortnight in the eleventh Lunar month). The conditions in the kingdom which were a bit unsettled at that time began to take a turn for the better and travelled irrestistibly towards prosperity and peace. This was the reason why the child was named Sambhavanatha. Shri Sambhavanatha took the vow of Sanyasa in his 49th year on an Ashadha Amavasya (corresponding to the New Moon Day of the 4th month in the lunar calendar) and became an Arhantha on a full moon day in the month of Karthika, having attained Kevalajnana, thus Shri Sambhavanatha Swamy became the third of the Tirthankaras.
