Salākāpuruşas or: The Jaina tradition has the list of 63 Great Men which include twenty-four Mahāpurusas Tīrthankaras, twelve Cakravartins (world conquerors), nine Baladevas (or Nārāyaṇas), nine

a pedestal). Sarvatobhadra a four-faced shrine or image. Śāsanadevatā or : The guardian deities attending upon the Tirthankaras. They protect the four-fold Jaina
Sangha Yakşa-Yaksi (organization of sādhu, sādhvi, śramana and śramani) and grant boons for worldly desires
and remove or pacify the evil spirits. There are twenty-four Yakşas and twenty-four Yaksis,
one pair for each Tīrthankara. Śaśvata Jinas : Four eternal Jinas - Candrānana, Vārişeņa, Rşabha and Vardhamāna. They are repeated in
the list of 24 Jinas of each age. Siddha
: see Pañcaparamesthin. Siddha-sila : the crescent-shaped dwelling place for liberated souls. Siddhāyatana : caityas or shrines worshipped by the Jainas. Sikhara
: superstructure in North Indian temples; a crowning cupola in South Indian temples. silpaśästra : canons of art and architecture. śilpin
artist. simhasana : lion-throne. simhavyāla : a vyāla with lion head.
