(the gong resounds ) On this blind ephemeral earth stillness is not understood, since it has not as yet come into its own. The earth-born are nervous of Immobility which is angelic, Silence which is heavenly. They do not know as yet that rootedness is true speed !

(the flute emerges with its music out of the after-vibration of the gong) She, in whom I remain so still and unstirring, imagines I am dead! I am not dead; since I was never born, Mother of me ! When I come out of you you will call it birth. But all birth, as all death, is but hypnotic suggestion. Nobody is born, nobody dies.. All that is created by the Divine is necessarily divine. All that is created by the Master of the Heavens
