knowledge of the Supreme Soul, the Lord points out in verse 3 that out of all sincere aspirants there are rarely some who know it in Reality. This concept of this verseis expressed in the same manner by the first verse of chapter 3 of the Uttaraadhyayan Sutra as follows: ‘Chattari paramangaani, dullahaniha jantuno Manusanta sui saddha,sanjamammi yaviriyam Meaning,” There are four foundation pillars to support the state of liberation. They are, human birth, study of spirituality, faith in that study and serious effort to live accordingly.
Verses 4 to 7 point out to the universal scheme of Purusha and Prakriti, which are referred to as “Para” and” Apara”i.e. higher and lower aspects of the ultimate Reality, which compose the source from which all beings spring, and emphasize that there is nothing higher than this motivating Force, which it the root of everything
Verses 8 to 12 illustrate to show that what good or bad is found as essence in different
