swayed by attraction and repulsion which are rooted in all sense objects because they are the two principal enemies obstructing the path of redemption. It is better to act according to one's own nature even through in comparison with othere's duty it is not well performed. It is better to die while performing one's own duty because performance of the duty practiced by others is fraught with danger. "-33, 34, 35 Note: The words“ Swadharma" and " Paradharma”
do not mean ones own religion or others religion. Dharma here means duty. The idea contained in these verses is put pithyly by Jain doctrine of “ Vatthu Sahavo Dhammo" (74 harat THT) meaning "Intrinsic" nature of every thing is its Dharma, and hence a real Spirtual progress is made by following ones own intrinsic nature.
