But if one sincerely surrenders to the liberated souls, he does not ever bind his soul by his actions.” Verses 47 to 50 declare how one who wants spiritual progress should act without any expectation of enjoying the fruits thereof because your right (Adhikara) extends to the performance of your duty and not to the enjoyment of fruits thereof and only when your action is devoid of any selfish motive, one achieves equanimity and skill in action. Therefore, actions performed without expectation do not bind your soul.
