Thus only fourteen parişahas are to be met with in the subsequent stages up to the twelfth, where the fifteenth, the twentieth and the twenty-first are parted from. The remaining eleven parisahas survive in an enfeebled, powerless, stingless condition in the thirteenth stage; for omniscience have ing arisen here the affections and longings and needs of the lower self are rendered of no effect as against its illuminative force. But the body still persists, and the parişuhas are similarly deemed to be existing still, though devoid of their evil effect.
