of revealed truth is fully guaranteed by the omniscience of the Teacher which is all-embracing in its scope. It is no use looking out for these attributes in mythological compilations; they are more likely to be met with in the scientific Siddhanta of Jainism. If the theists of the diverse creeds would but pause to ponder over the differeuces about the attributes, functions, connections and doings of their respective Godhead, they would not be long in arriving at the conclusion that the god who is said to be the Father of Jesus cannot possibly be the same as the Allah of Islam or the Ishvara of the Hindus who deny having any such thing as a son. Neither can the god of the Arabs, who claim to have had a direct revelation on the subject, be the same divinity whose followers deny the very fact of revelation in Arabia and Palestine. In these circumstances, it is idle to talk of revelation; what would be more profiting would be to work out the nature of the different Bibles and Gospels with a view to get at their real teachings on the lines already laid down in these lectures. As a matter of fact, what has already been said is more than sufficient to disprove the allega. tion that certain scriptures teach the worship of a creator. Mythological in conception and expression, they can. not be accepted in their literal sense or laistorically even in respect of a single particular.
