knowledge of the ego. (ii) “Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of
sin" (John, viii. 34). It is this servitude or bondage of sin which is to be terminated by the knowledge of
truth (John, viji, 32). (5) This bondage is destroyed by the practising of
asceticisin and other forms of purifications
