________________ BANDHA 58 54 55 43 (2) Jâti, that is, type, or class, which comprises the following five beads :-- (i) one-sensed beings, (ii) two-sensed beings, (iii) three-sensed beings, (iv) four-sensed beings, and 56 (v) beings with all the five senses. 57 (3) Sharira, i.e., body, which is of five kinds, viz., - (i) audôrika, the outer body of gross matter, 58 (ii) vaikriyaka, the outer body of devas (residents 59 of heavens) and of those who are the denizens of hells, (iii) ahāraka, an invisible body of small dimen- 80 sions, which issues from the forehead of advanced ascetics alone, and enables them to visit the Teacher, if there be one in a distant land, 88 64 (iv) tai jasa, the body of luminous matter, and (v) kârmana, the body of karmic energies. (4) Angopânga, that is, the principal and subsidiary limbs, which are of three kinds (i) audârika, i.e., pertaining to the physical body, (ii) vaikriyaka, pertaining to the vaikriyaka saréra which can become big or small, and can : assume any form at will, and .... (iii) aháraka, i.e., pertaining to the ahâraka body. (5) Nirmâna, that is, symmetry.
