Nishchaya [], that which is true under all circumstances and conditions; certain; one of the standpoints of Jaina philosophy. There are several standpoints according to Jainism of which the nishchaya and the vyavahâra are the most important. Of these, that which describes things with regard to their nature, qualities or attributes, is called the nishchaya, while the other which only takes into account their form, conditions and changes is the vyavahara.
