Universal values of Rishibhāshit
Rishibhāsita contain various teachings of those Rshis, which have a universal value and can solve the various problems of our modern society. We are living in the age of science and technology. Science and technology has given us all the amenities of life. Due to the tremendous advancement in science and technology now a days, life on earth is so luxurious and pleasant that it was never before, yet because of materialistic and mechanical out look and selfish nature, which we have developed these days, no body is happy and cheerful. Our desires have no limits. These unfulfilled desires create frustrations and tensions. Rishibhāshit mentions that “Yearnings are countless. An individual docketed in yearning attracts miseries numberless. The sole means of getting rid of miseries is by being yearning less. One engrossed in desires would not recognize his parents and teachers. To him they are of no significance. Such a being is prone to run down saints, princes and gods. Desire is the root of all bondage. It causes bereavement as well as multiple reincarnations. Desire-fulfillment obliges him who has scorned it. One who conquers desire with desirelessness is the heir to lasting happiness”. 40/1, 2, 3, 4
“The aspirant should abstain from violence that results from his own deeds, at his instance or on his endorsement accruing from his ideation, word or deed. Nor should he abet another to indulge in such a heinous act. This is the prime mark of a true doctrine. The seeker should neither covertly nor overtly utter falsehood nor abet another to do so. He should not preach falsehood. This is second attribute of a true doctrine. Neither should he covertly or overtly neither accept alms nor lead another to do so. This is the third attribute of a true doctrine. Such a devotee should never in thought; word and deed indulge libido and acquisition. He should neither himself lapse into these vices nor abet another or sanction such a deed ex post facto. This
