________________ Rishidatta On the banks of a river the guards made a funeral Just then it started raining. A storm began of a pyre and lit it after seating Rishidatta on it. storm. Darkness descended. Strong winds uprooted trees. O God! Please pardon these guards whol have lit the funeral pyre. Run! It is a storm. It will create havoc. The guards ran away and the funeral pyre was extinguished. | Rishidatta got up from the pyre and went into the jungle. Wandering around, she arrived at the old hermitage of her father. Past memories engulfed her and she broke down O father! O sage! I suffer grave consequences of evil karmas. I never caused pain even to a small insect.
