trees, cows and buffaloes and men look like pigmies. In the same way the ascetic, dwelling on the high altitudes of spirituality, finds the worldly possessions and pleasures of life insignificat and meaningless. He gives no importance to sensuous pleasures, wealth, honour, prestige or glamour of iife. The world has its importance to those who iemain attached to it, but for those who live on the spiritual plane, the world has nothing to offer.
"Harmony between the Interior and the Exterior.
O fond man, why do you exhibit yourself in false colours? Be what you are. The real greatness of man lies in harmonising the exterior with the interior. If you show yourself as you really are, you will be liberated.
The Ideal of Actionism
One may ask, "What is the ideal of actionism in real practical life ?" I would explain my point of view with an anecdote. Suppose a man is going somewhere. Another man comes from the opposite direction and hurls a stone at him. What will be the reaction of this on the first man ? You would reply, “There will be anger and fury in the heart. There will be mental and emotional excitement and a strong desire for revenge. There will be hatred and contempt for the man who hurled the stone.” Now I would ask you to imagine another situation. Suppose you are going. And while going, you stumble and fall down and you cry with pain. What will happen then ? You would reply, "What can be done in that situation ! It was my own mistake that I fell down and hurt myself. How can I blame another ? Whom can I hate or condemn for this? I have hurt myself and therefore I
