These are the exhortations of a saint and ascetic whose heart is brimful of the milk of human love, kindness and .compassion and from whom emanates spiritual light as naturally as fragrance from the rose. Amar Vani is an invaluable treasury of the thoughts, meditations and exhortations of this great spiritual Apostle.
The present edition is the English rendering of the original Amar Vani in Hindi. Persistent demands were coming for an English edition of this great book from the non-Hindi speaking people of India and the foreigners. This edition is meant to meet this pressing demand. It is, of course, true that no translation from one language to another can ever have the beauty, the flow, the rhythm, the effect of the original. As such, when the Munishri asked me to translate and edit the Amar Vani from Hindi to English, I indeed felt honoured, but at the same time very nervous also. However, I gathered courage and took up the work. I have made all efforts possible for me to impart to it the spirit of the original. But flaws and failings in such an attempt are inescapable. For these I seek and solicit forgiveness of the most reverend Munishri.
