________________ The main metaphysical tenct of Jainism 131 "This person who desires pot, crown, and gold incurs in regard to the loss, origination and stability Griel, joy and indifference with their causes. One vowed to milk does not eat curds; one vowed to curds does not eat milk; One vowed to abstinence from cow products avoids both. Therefore the entity is triple”). This is the meaning of the verse. The two verses are nos. 59 and 60 in the Apta-mimamsă of Samantabhadra-svamin. They occur also in Haribhadra's Sastravürtti-samuccaya, VII. 2-3, and in the comm. to his fad-darśana-samuccaya, v. 57. The first verse conceives of a gold pot made into a crown, and the second relates to the different transformations of milk.
