In the First, Second and Third Person Singular and Plural of the Past Tense. 'si', 'hi', 'hia' suffixes are used in the a-ending, 0-ending etc. Verbs. 2. All the above Verbs are Intransitive. 3. All the above sentences are in the Active Voice. 4. (i) In Ardhamagadhi, the Past Tense is formed by ading 'ittha' and 'imsu' suffixes to the a-ending, á-ending, o-ending etc. verbs in all the three Persons and the two Numbers. as, Thāitthă/Thāimsu, Hoitthā/Hoińsu (Pischel. P. 752-753) (Ghātage P. 112) (ii) Besides these, Hotthå - became, Ahamsu = said are also used.
