the lowest, i.e. he loses even this world, and this is what the expression å saptaman lokán should mean. Thus, here, carth, which is the first in the enumeration, and lowest in order when looked at from the highest world, is designated as saplama 'seventh', i.e. the one which completes the total of seven.
