*If you want to proceed on the path of self-purification, you have to discard something external and something internal.
* You should not condemn others. Condemning others is the greatest sin. Only those people who know this and who believe this can admire those that do not condemn others.
*Only that man who does not see any defect or fault in others can develop an eye for virtues.
*If a man spends even the moments of sorrow cheerfully, his name will live on the tongues of men for ever.
*You should never undervalue the importance of the peace of your family. Quarrels will arise in your family if you begin to engage yourself in heated exchanges over trifles.
DISCOURSE 42
The great scriptural scholar, Acharyashri Haribhadrasoorishwarji is describing here the ordinary principles of grihasthadharma. The superstructure of the extraordinary principles of grihasthadharma can stand firm only if the foundation of the ordinary principles is strong. Such a mansion standing on a firm foundation will not fall even if there blows a terrible whirlwird. If you want to build a magnificent mansion, even the foundation must be deep and perfect. The ground should be pure and even. When that is so, should not the Atmabhoomi, the ground of the soul be pure and firm if the superstructure namely, the Paramatma Mandir or the shrine of the Paramatma should be constructed upon it? Should it not be even and firm?
