Acharya Amrender Muni Ji with Former President of India Gyani Zail Singh
Even though President Gyani Zail Singh is no more in this world it is still important to record the dialogue he had with Acharya Shri Amrender Muni Ji. Gyani Ji used to have a very high respect for Acharya Shri Amrender Muni Ji. He went and met him several times in his Ghewra Ashram in New Delhi. He was a great thinker. When he used to meet Acharya Shri Amrender Muni Ji He used to ask him a lot of questions. Gyani Zail Singh: In your view what would you consider is a "value"? Acharya Shri Amrender Muni Ji: Let us understand this question by looking at the following example: There are two words; Value and Price. Price is that by which you can buy and sell an item. Value is that which cannot be bought or sold. For example - mothers milk. It is priceless. The process of rising above price takes us to value. Gyani Zail Singh: What solution do you have for the decline in value systems in today's world? Acharya Shri Amrender Muni Ji: There is no doubt that the value system today is disintegrating - however I am hopeful that it will improve.
