Acharya Sushil Kumar Ji's Request Acharya Sushil Kumar Ji was one of the most forward looking monks of the Jain order. He was the first Jain monk to travel abroad and spread the principles of peace and ahinsa to the world outside India. Sushil Kumar Ji had great regard for Shri Shukal Chand Ji Maharaj and used to visit him from time to time for his blessings. On one such visit when Gurudev was in Ambala, Sushil Kumar Ji's eyes happened to fall on young Amrender Muni. He was immediately captivated by his radiant presence. In the course of conversation, he pointed towards the young monk and said: Gurudev, please give me this monk. Shri Shukal Chand Ji Maharaj was astonished at this strange request. He fell silent.
