understand and feel a little bit of the divinity that lay within him.
Next year we went to Spain on our holiday. There, in an old fort in Segovia, I fell and twisted my ankle. My husband took me to a hospital nearby where the doctor asked me to be taken to the Emergency Ward without my husband and children. I was in a strange country, not knowing the local language and in a lot of pain, so it was a terrifying experience. I was taken in a wheelchair to the top floor in a lift where two people carried me and laid me on a bed and then left , leaving me totally alone and unattended. There was not a soul around and I felt very alone and scared. At that precise moment I felt a sense of peace steal into my heart. I felt Guruji's presence close to me. Slowly my fear dissolved and I found myself in a prayerful mood. That experience was so deep and heartfelt that I felt myself to have reached a very secure and peaceful place. I felt Guruji's presence, in his white robes protecting me throughout.
Then the doctors took my X rays and wheeled me down to my husband and children. However in this duration I felt a depth of divine feeling which I cannot express in words.
When I think about that experience I feel such gratitude. Only one who has experienced that sense of his presence in his physical absence can understand what I felt.
After we returned from Spain, our inclination towards reading spiritual books grew. Inside me I felt a growing sense of the importance of the Guru's grace. I realized what a priceless treasure had been given to me. I thanked those lucky stars of mine which had led me to a meeting with my Guru.
My children have also experienced his invisible power. My husband is a very shy and reticent man. He has not spoken about his experiences, but his unbounded love for Guruji is testimony to his faith and belief in him.
