________________ At these thoughts, two tear drops emerged from Mahavir's eyes. Sangam Dev was surprised to see this. He had troubled Mahavir for six months, and Mahavir had remained completely unmoved, and now that he was leaving, why were there tears in Mahavir's eyes? Sangam Dev turned around and said "Lord, for six months I have troubled you, and you have attained enlightenment, then on what matter have you now become troubled?" Mahavir said "Sangam, I am not troubled - rather my compassion has started to flow through my eyes. You are a very good friend of mine - if you had not troubled me for six months I would not have been able to attain this state I am in now. When I thought of this, love started flowing by itself." So all the great beings, don't mind even if someone tries to harm them. They take their actions in the right way. They consider their enemies also to be their friends. Lord Rishabdev, is known as Aadi Brahma, according to the Rig Ved, Yajur Ved, Bhagvat Purana, Shiv Puran, and the Vishnu Puran.The Bhagvat Puran, from the "fifth to eight part" has a reference to him. Lord Rishabdev, after meditating for one thousand years, gained enlightenment. In those times, one used to have a very long life and Lord Rishabhdev did intense penances to attain liberation. To talk about moksha, and to experience it are two different things. Talking about it is very easy, however, to attain moksha is very difficult. You can see the mountain, but reaching the mountain, taking one step at a time, is a very difficult task. In this way, penance and prayers (upasana) cannot happen by just talking about them, one has to discipline one's self. Discipline is important, no matter what the path. Even for a student, if discipline is lacking, then whatever he wants to achieve, he will not be able to achieve. Who was Rishabdev exactly? He was Nabhi Raja's son.
