sects are required to a certain extent. Sects are like the peel of the fruit which protects the soft centre until the seeker delves deep and reaches the sweet essence inside the centre of the fruit.
It is essential to oppose violence:
Nowadays we see that there is a trend towards violence in the world. No one seems to be putting a full stop to it, instead it seems to be growing and flowering.
There are many reasons for this. Even wise people cannot avoid violence. Knowingly or unknowingly everyone falls into the trap of hurting other beings.
Man has made progress in the scientific field, in those areas which give rise to violence. Whether it be a small weapon or a weapon of mass destruction, there has been a continous progress in their development.
Even as far as food goes, man has started using chemicals in its production which makes the food hard to digest. So we find that even in bread, ice cream, biscuits and soft drinks chemicals have been added as preservatives or for taste enhancing.
The food that is given to livestock also contains similar additives. There is a trend towards making even“vegetarian” animals eat non vegetarian food. Thus we see that in cattle feed, lime made from fish is added.
Beauty products are also made by killing animals and using them in cruel ways. Eggs and other animal by products are widely used in face packs, shampoos etc.
In clothing also animal products are widely used.
For a human being to avoid these traps is very difficult. Knowingly or unknowingly he falls into one or the other, thereby contributing to violence.
