વલણ - અભિગમ
હું જેટલું લાંબું જીવું છું તેટલું જ જીવન ઉપર વલણ-અભિગમની અસરોની મહત્તા અનુભવું છું. મારા માટે વલણ એ કોઈ હકીકતો કરતાં વધારે મહત્ત્વનું છે. તે ભૂતકાળ, શિક્ષણ, સફળતા અને અન્ય વ્યક્તિઓ શું કહે છે, કરે છે કે વિચારે છે તેનાં કરતાં પણ અતિ મહત્ત્વનું છે. તે બાહ્ય દેખાવ, ચાતુર્ય કે પ્રતિભા કરતાં પણ વધારે મહત્ત્વનું છે, તે કોઈ કંપની.... ચર્ચ...... કે ઘર બનાવશે કે તોડી શકશે. એક નોંધપાત્ર વાત એ છે કે દરરોજ આપણી પાસે તે દિવસે કેવો અભિગમ રાખીશું તે અંગે પસંદગી કરવાનું શક્ય છે. આપણે આપણો ભૂતકાળ બદલી શકતા નથી.... લોકો અમુક ચોક્કસ પ્રકારે વર્તન કરશે તે હકીકત બદલી શકતા નથી. જે બનવાનું છે તે આપણે બદલી શકતાં નથી, આપણી પાસે આપણે કરી શકીએ તેવો માત્ર એક જ રસ્તો છે અને તે છે આપણું વલણ-અભિગમ... હું માનું છું કે જિંદગી એ આપણને શું થાય છે તે માત્ર ૧૦% છે અને ૯૦% તેના તરફ હું કેવો પ્રતિભાવ આપું છું તે છે; અને તે આપની સાથે પણ તેવું જ છે... આપણે આપણા અભિગમના અધિષ્ઠાતા છીએ - નિયામક છીએ.
