ન્યાકુસુમાંજલિ, 1 ચતુર્થto reason to believe that the Vedas have been preached or revealed by God, a disembodied perfect soul; for, such a spirit is incapable of teaching for the want of a material body, the medium of communication with men. Hence, Scripture even if it be the Vedas, is the word of the omniscient, deified men, preaching truth before the attainment of final liberation. Thus it is clear that it is not possible for an eternally and naturally free Supreme Being, as some imagine their God to be, to be the author of the Vedas. Hence it clearly follows that the Vedas are neither eternal ( at least in form ) nor are they the creations of a disembodied Supreme Being. શું વેદ અપૅરૂપેય છે?—
સમગ્ર જગત સમજાવવાની શક્તિ ધરાવનારી એવી “વેદના (શ્રુતિ) એ પ્રતિપાદન કરેલ ધર્મ એક છે, એમ વિધાનમાં અગ્રેસર શ્રોત્રિયોએ કહ્યું છે, કિંતુ આ વિચારણીય છે; કારણ કે શ્રુતિ જ્યારે વચનાત્મક છે તે તે અપિરુષેય ઘટી શકતી નથી. વિચારવું જોઈએ કે કુમારસંભવની વાણીથી કૃતિ પાણીમાં શું એવું વૈલક્ષણ્ય છે કે જેથી એકને પિરૂષય અને બીજીને અરૂષય માનવી જોઈએ.”—૧૦
वेदः स्यात् पुरुषप्रणीत इतरो वाऽऽद्येऽखिलज्ञो न वा ? - नाद्यः सर्वविदोऽसमभ्युपगमाद्, अन्त्ये प्रमाणं कुतः ?। नाप्यन्त्यस्तदसम्भवात् , गगनतो व्यक्ताक्षराऽप्रत्ययात्
सिध्येन्माघवदेव पुरुषजता वर्णात्मकत्वाच्छृतेः ॥ ११॥
Are the Vedas composed by a human being or not? In the former case is that human being omniscient or not? He cannot be called omniscient * આ તે એક નામ આપ્યું છે; પુરાણાદિ ગ્રન્થ પણ સમજી લેવા.
