The vedanāskandha comprises pleasure, pain etc. The sanjāskandha comprises the cognition of things by their names (Gauraśva ityādi-sabda-sanjalpitapratyayaḥ, Ananda Giri; Gauraśva ityevam namavisista-savikalpaḥ pratyayaḥ, Go. Au; Sanjñā Yajnadattādipada-tadullekhi savikalpapratyayo vā dvitiyapakṣe vijñānapadena savikalpapratyayo na grahyaḥ. Brahmavidyabharaṇa) The Samskaraskandha comprises passion, aversion etc. dharma and adharma... The Vijñanaskandha is Chitta, the other skandhas Chaitta."
