Editorial
The present volume consists of nine āgamas :- 1. Paņņavaņā, 2. Jambuddiva. pannatti, 3. Candapaņņatti, 4. Sūrapannatti, 5. Nirayāvaliyão, 6. Kappavadimsiyão, 7. Puppliyão, 8. Pupphacūliyão, and 9. Vanhidasão.
The upāngas are twelve in number. Three upāngas have already been included in the 'Uvangasuttăņi', Part 4, Volume 1. The original text of the remaining nine upāngas, with variant readings, has been incorporated in the present volume. The word index of Angasuttāṇi has already been published as a separate book (Āgama-sabda-kośa). To provide convenience to readers as well as the research scholars a joint word index of the above-mentioned nine agamas is appended in this volume.
With the publication of this volume, the publication work of all the 32 canons is now over. This Agama-sütra series at present contains seven volumes as under: 1. Angasutrāni, Part I:

Under this series of original texts, the work of editing the other canons too is in progress. They are likely to contain prakirņaka, niryukti and bhäşya.
