________________ मध्यस्थः । Umpire. Devoted ones see only the good qualities and those who have antipathy see only the faults; it is only the impartial who see both good and bad qualities i. e. the bright and dark sides of a thing. As in a clear mirror all the things lying on either side, are reflected, so all the qualities are reflected in the mediator i. e. only one who is neutral, can judge impartially all the good and bad qualities.
