________________ Mother Saraswati is the source of learning vedas and all the different sciences are her forms. She resides in books and causes books to be made by helping Brahmins and other learned people to preserve their culture. Basically, she protects human values. The four objects, namely a book, a veena, a garland, and a water pot are held in her four hands. They are symbolic. The book represents sacred scriptures of all different sciences. The veena represents all different art forms and the music of love and life. The garland represents spiritual sciences, and the water pot is a symbol of religious rites. Her dress in white symbolizes purity and the lotus symbolizes true knowledge. A fifth day of the Indian month of "Magh" is in late January or early February 15th. This is the first day of the Vasant Ritu, the start of spring, known as the "Spring Festival". It is popular for praying Mata Saraswati dressed in white, with her constant companion, the white swan, holding a veena, her stringed instrument. It is believed that she was born on this day. It is a very special day for students and scholars, professors, musicians, artists, poets to prosper in their academic careers as well as getting spiritual upliftment. It is a very pious day to start any educational activity. Vasant Panchami festival is celebrated all over the world. Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya laid the foundations of the world-class academic institution, Kashi Hindu Vishwavidyalaya on Vasant Panchami. Educated people and men of principle worship the goddess Saraswati for spiritual enlightment. They believe that the king is honored within his kingdom, whereas the learned are respected or worshipped throughout the world. She embodies wisdom, fortune, intelligence, nourishment, brilliance, contentment, splendor and devotion. Saraswati's existence is found in Puranas, Upanishads & Hindu Scriptures. The white swan of mata Saraswati symbolises "Satwa Guna" (Purity and Discrimination) relating to knowledge, education, music a form of art.
