सचित्र उत्तराध्ययन सूत्र
Disinclined to sensual pleasures and inclined to restrain Mrgaputra., came to his parents and thus spoke unto them. (10)
सुयाणि मे पंच महव्वयाणि, नरएसु दुक्खं च तिरिक्खजोणिसु । निव्विण्णकामो मि महण्णवाओ, अणुजाणह पव्वइस्सामि अम्मो ! ॥११॥
(मृगापुत्र) मैंने पाँच महाव्रतों को सुना है। नरक और तिर्यंच योनियों के दुःख भी मैं जानता हूँ। संसार रूपी महासागर से विरक्त हो गया हूँ, मुझे काम भोगों की अभिलाषा नहीं रही है । मैं अब प्रव्रज्या ग्रहण करूँगा। हे माता ! मुझे अनुमति दो ||११||
(Mrgāputra) I have heard about five full ( great ) vows. I also know the torments and sufferings of hellish and beast existences. I became disinclined to worldly ocean. I have no desire of empirical pleasures and amusements. Now I shall accept consecration. Please give me your consent. ( 11 )
अम्मताय ! मए भोगा, भुत्ता विसफलोवमा । पच्छा कडुयविवागा, अणुबन्ध - दुहावहा ॥१२॥
हे माता-पिता ! मैं भोगों को भोग चुका हूँ। ये विषफल के समान हैं। बाद में कटुविपाक वाले और निरन्तर दुःख देने वाले हैं ॥ १२ ॥
Parents! I have exercised amusements. These are like poisonous fruits; their consequences are pungent and they entail continuous pains. (12)
इमं सरीरं अणिच्चं, असुई असुइसंभवं । असासयावासमिणं, दुक्ख-केसाण भायणं ॥१३॥
यह शरीर अनित्य है, अपवित्र है, अशुचि से उत्पन्न हुआ है तथा अशुचि - मल-मूत्र आदि का उत्पत्ति स्थान है। इसमें आत्मा का आवास अशाश्वत है तथा यह शरीर दुःखों और क्लेशों का भाजन है ॥१३॥
This body is transient, impure, originated with and by impurity and also produces impurities, like-urine, stool etc. Inheritance of soul in it is transitory and this body is the vessel of miseries and sufferings. (13)
नोवलभामहं ।
असासए सरीरम्मि, र पच्छा पुरा व चइयव्वे, फेणबुब्बु - सन्निभे ॥१४॥
पहले या पीछे इसे छोड़ना ही है। यह शरीर पानी के बुलबुले के समान क्षणभंगुर है। अतः इसमें मुझे सुख की प्राप्ति नहीं हो रही है ||१४||
This body is like a bubble and had to leave before or after (sooner or later). Therefore, no delight I am getting in it. ( 14 )
माणुसत्ते असारम्मि, वाही - रोगाण आलए । जरा - मरणघत्थम्मि, खणं पि न रमामऽहं ॥१५॥
