555555555555555555555555555555555555 __ [उ. ] हाँ, गौतम ! ऐसा ही है। वे सर्वत्र एक सरीखी ऊँचाई लिए होते हैं।
[प्र. ३ ] भगवन् ! यदि जम्बूद्वीप में सूर्य उदयकाल, मध्याह्नकाल तथा अस्तमनकाल में सर्वत्र एक ॐ सरीखी ऊँचाई लिए होते हैं तो उदयकाल में वे दूर होते हुए भी निकट क्यों दिखाई देते हैं, मध्याह्नकाल
में निकट होते हुए भी दूर क्यों दिखाई देते हैं तथा अस्तमनकाल में दूर होते हुए भी निकट क्यों दिखाई देते हैं?
[उ. ] गौतम ! लेश्या के प्रतिघात से-सूर्यमण्डलगत तेज के प्रतिघात से अत्यधिक दूर होने के कारण उदय स्थान से आगे प्रसृत न हो पाने से, यों तेज या ताप के प्रतिहत होने के कारण सुखपूर्वक के देखे जा सकने योग्य होने के कारण दूर होते हुए भी सूर्य उदयकाल में निकट दिखाई देते हैं।
मध्याह्नकाल में लेश्या के अभिताप से-सूर्यमण्डलगत तेज के अभिताप से-विशिष्ट ताप से निकट के होते हुए भी सूर्य के तीव्र तेज की दुर्दृश्यता के कारण-कष्टपूर्वक देखे जा सकने योग्य होने के कारण दूर दिखाई देते हैं।
अस्तमनकाल में लेश्या के प्रतिघात के कारण उदयकाल की ज्यों दूर होते हुए भी सूर्य निकट दिखाई पड़ते हैं। गौतम ! दूर तथा निकट दिखाई पड़ने के यही कारण हैं। म 169. [Q. 1] Reverend Sir ! In Jambu island, do the two suns, although

[Ans. ) Yes Gautam ! They appear to be so.
[Q. 2) Reverend Sir ! In Jambu island, is the sun at the same height 4 at all places at sunrise, at noon and at sunset ?
(Ans. ] Yes Gautam ! It is at the same height at all the places.
[Q. 3) Reverend Sir ! In case the sun is at the same height at sunrise, at noon and at sunset in Jambu island, why does it appear to be close by
at sunrise although it is at distance, and appears to be far away at noon 4i although it is close by and again looks to be close by at sunset although
it is far away? __[Ans. ] Gautam ! The heat of the sun circle is at an extremely great distance at the time of sunrise and it cannot go beyond the place of sunrise. So it is capable of being seen comfortably. As such at the time of sunrise it appears to be close by although it is in reality far away.
At noon, the heat of the sun circle is extremely great. So it cannot be seen with naked eye. It can be seen only with great difficulty. So it appears to be far away although it is close by.
