दीक्षित होने के पश्चात् एक दिन बाल मुनि अतिमुक्तक महावर्षा होने पर स्थविर श्रमणों के साथ पात्र एवं रजोहरण लेकर स्थण्डिल भूमि को गये। वहाँ मार्ग में बरसाती पानी का एक छोटा नाला बहता देखकर उन्होंने

5 नाले के दोनों ओर मिट्टी की पाल बाँधी उसके पश्चात् अपना पात्र नौका की भाँति पानी में तिराने लगे और 5 बाल सुलभ मन से हर्षित होकर कहने लगे। "देखो मेरी नाव तैर रही है। देखो मेरी नाव' बाल मुनि की क्रीड़ा देखकर स्थविर श्रमण अप्रसन्न होकर बिना कुछ कहे भगवान महावीर के पास आये। भगवान महावीर स्वामी ने उन्हें बताया कि अतिमुक्तक महाश्रमण चरमशरीरी है। वह इसी भव में सिद्ध

होगा । इसलिए उसे डाँटों, झिड़को मत। उसे अग्लानभाव से स्वीकार करो और उसकी वैयावच्च करो।

अतिमुक्तक मुनि
पोलासपुर नगर के महाराजा विजय और उनकी महारानी श्रीदेवी के पुत्र अतिमुक्तक कुमार भगवान महावीर के पास दीक्षित हुए थे।

ASCETIC ATIMUKTAK
Prince Atimuktak, the son of King Vijaya and queen Shridevi of Polaspur city, was initiated by Bhagavan Mahavir.
After initiation, one day child-ascetic Atimuktak went out to relieve himself along with senior ascetics. It was raining heavily. The child ascetic was carrying his ascetic-broom and bowl. On the way he saw a small stream of rain water. He stopped and raised earthen dams on two sides. He then flouted his bowl on water surface and play fully enjoyed the act uttering-"See my boat!
Hey, it floats !"
श्रमण महावीर का इस प्रकार कथन सुनकर स्थविर श्रमणों ने भगवान महावीर को वन्दन नमस्कार किया 5 और अतिमुक्तक मुनि को अग्लानभाव (प्रसन्नतापूर्वक) से स्वीकार किया और उसकी वैयावच्च करने लगे।

Bhagavan Mahavir told them that great ascetic Atimuktak was in his last 卐
At this the senior ascetics were annoyed. But without saying anything they
returned to Bhagavan Mahavir.

rebirth and was going to a Siddha at the end of this birth only. Therefore he
should not be reprimanded or insulted. He should be supported gladly and
provided all hospitality.

Hearing this from Bhagavan Mahavir the senior ascetics paid homage to

him and gladly supported Atimuktak muni and provided him all care.
