卐 ३६. तए णं ईसाणकप्पवासी बहवे वेमाणिया देवा य देवीओ य बलिचंचारायहाणिवत्थव्वएहिं बहूहिं

३६. तत्पश्चात् ईशानकल्पवासी बहुत-से वैमानिक देवों और देवियों ने देखा कि बलिचंचाराजधानी - निवासी बहुत-से असुरकुमार देवों और देवियों द्वारा तामली बाल - तपस्वी के मृत शरीर की हीना, निन्दा और आक्रोशना की जा रही है, यावत् उस शव को मनचाहे ढंग से इधर-उधर घसीटा 5 व खींचा जा रहा है। अतः इस प्रकार उसके मृत शरीर की दुर्दशा होती देखकर वे वैमानिक देवदेवीगण शीघ्र ही क्रोध से भड़क उठे यावत् क्रोधानल से तिलमिलाते (दाँत पीसते ) हुए, जहाँ देवेन्द्र देवराज ईशान था, वहाँ पहुँचे। ईशानेन्द्र के पास पहुँचकर दोनों हाथ जोड़कर मस्तक पर अंजलि करके फ 'जय हो, विजय हो' इत्यादि शब्दों से उस (ईशानेन्द्र) को बधाया। फिर इस प्रकार बोले- 'हे देवानुप्रिय ! 5 बलिचंचा राजधानी निवासी बहुत से असुरकुमार देव और देवीगण आप देवानुप्रिय को कालधर्म प्राप्त

हुआ एवं ईशानकल्प में इन्द्ररूप में उत्पन्न हुआ देखकर अत्यन्त कोपायमान हुए यावत् आपके मृत
5 शरीर को उन्होंने मनचाहा आड़ा टेढ़ा खींच - घसीटकर एकान्त में डाल दिया। तत्पश्चात् वे जिस दिशा 5 से आये थे, उसी दिशा में वापस चले गये।'

आकडूढ - विकर्ष्टि कीरमाणं पासंति, पासित्ता आसुरुत्ता जाव मिसिमिसेमाणा जेणेव ईसाणे देविंदे देवराया
तेणेव उवागच्छंति, उवागच्छित्ता करयलपरिग्गहियं दसनहं सिरसावत्तं मत्थए अंजलिं कट्टु जएणं विजएणं वद्धावेंति, एवं वयासी - एवं खलु देवाणुप्पिया ! बलिचंचारायहाणिवत्थव्वया बहवे असुरकुमारा देवा य देवीओ य देवापि कालगए जाणित्ता ईसाणे य कप्पे इंदत्ताए उववन्ने पासेत्ता आसुरुत्ता जाव एते एडेंति, जामेव दिसिं पाउन्भूया तामेव दिसिं पडिगया।

of naive-hermit Tamali recklessly as they pleased. Seeing this (wretched
state of the corpse) those Vaimanik gods and goddesses were soon
where Ishanendra was seated. Arriving there they joined their palms,
touched their foreheads and greeted Ishanendra with hails of victory.
