Are we to construe thus : किंण पेच्छसि । मा गोल्लसु बइल्लं etc. ? 1110 ) करम्भो दधिसक्तवः । इत्यमरः; [ करंबो ] दध्योदनः । दे० ना० II. 14; डेर, cf. डेग in मराठी; कं whom, or standing for किं why. 1111 ) वंठो अकृत विवाहो निःस्नेहः खण्डो गण्डो भृत्यश्चेति पञ्चार्थः । दे० ना० VII. 83. खोर = अधमस्त्री or वेश्या according to the com.? 1112) धुनसु = धुनीहि ( rather than धुनः ). फलय, a shield ? 1113) The word ओणक्किर or आणिकिर is rather obscure; it means वृषभवाहक according to the com.; P-gloss equates it with equally obscure: is this a back-formation of कोलिअ, a fisherman ? 1114 ) वण्णत्रसिएण should mean ' wild' dwelling in the forest'; both the P-gloss and the com. give it a conventional meaning, viz. राजप्रसादगवितेन सोणहिअ, here हीय = शौनकिक, according to PSM, श्वानपालक, कुत्तों से शिकार करने वाला कुर्कुट, note the spelling. 1115 ) णीसवेसि = त्वरयसि, both the gloss and the com.; it is not recorded in PSM.; can we connect it with ( निस्) + श्रामय् to cause to be fatigued ? सेल्लो मृगशिशुः शरचे ते व्यर्थः । दे० ना० VIII. 57. 1117) Perhaps the com. takes to be only mas., but it is neu. as well in Sanskrit, 1118 ) झंभण = जृम्भण. The com. presumes वहु for पहु. 1119) ओयारण = अवतारण. 1120) Lit. णिय लज्जत - निगड्यमान 1121 ) Better सिजंत = सुज्यमान, being created. 1122 ) वलग्गति = आरोहन्ति, है ० VIII. iv. 206: Serpents trembling in apprehension of being trodden over by intoxicated elephants in their marches, climbed the high peaks (of the mountain ), as if to have a (complete ) view of the whole army. 1123) अक्षं axle. 1124) वलियं भुक्तम्, दे० ना० VII, 35; the PSM adds भक्षितम् also. Rather render : यहेषारव श्वापदभांता 1135 ) Lit. ओसप्पइ = उपसृभ्यते 1137 ) चित्र रु, a queer act. 1139 कोकंत, from कोक्क = व्याहृ So rather कोक + अन्त्र + आसक्तमुखः अपि, though its mouth is occupied with the intestines of a hare, according to the com ) wolf (or the ruddy gouse ). भल्लक = शृगाली, cf. भालू in मराठी 1141 ) ( JP). This gāthā contains a beautiful idea. But in this context it is fitted rather loosely. Compare the idea in the following_gā hā from the वज्जलगं -घाएग मओ सद्देण मई चोज्जेग वाहत्रहुया वि । अत्रठंभिऊण हे विमुकिया पणा ॥ २१९ ॥ 1142 ) Note B reads गिरे for करि mention of सोराष्ट्रशुनक deserves attention. 1144 ) परिहत्थं or 'इच्छं, पटुर्मन्युश्च.
