These objects, according to the Digambara tradition, are :--
(1) An Elephant breaking open the mountain slopes. (2) A Bull loudly roaring. (3) A roaring Lion. ( 4 ) Goddess Lakşmi being bathed in waters from the trunks of
the elephants of the quarters (ferta ). The Svetāmbaras
designate this under अभिसेय. (5) Wreaths, two in number, of fresh flowers. (6) The rising moon. (7) The rising sun. ( 8 ) A pair of Fish. (9) A pair of Jars filled with water. (10) A fine lotu s-pond. (11) A surging sea. (12) A royal seat marked which lion's head (PATAT). The Sveta
mbaras omit this object from their list. (13) A heavenly palace or mansion-house. (14) A palace of snakes or of the king of snakes (ATT ); this
object is omitted in the list of the Svetämbaras. (15) A heap of Gems.
(16) Burning Fire.
It will be seen from above that the Svetambaras omit 12 and 14 from the above list and thus reduce the number of objects to fourteen.
7. 5a as farahat grafa, having meditated upon the sixteen forms ( भावना) of penance such as दर्शनविशुद्धि etc. These भावनाs are:-दर्शनfarfar, fanteqrar, sqarqafazit:, Titeur , taiteu Hàn, TAFITT:, शक्तितस्तपः, साधुसमाधिः, वैयावृत्यकरणम्, अर्हद्भक्तिः, आचार्यभक्तिः, बहुश्रुतभक्तिः, प्रवचनभक्तिः,
prasyarafeerfor:, AT HTT and 7777777. Compare also tarehET311, VIII. 64; acaraffa T VI. 24.
19. 14 ag aag offg, take me to that region where there is no birth etc., i, e., to the region of the Siddhas.
